I am one of the lucky ones, my father was an artist, He cried for joy when I told him I wanted to go to art school.
That combined with a cool and supportive mother made me extra special lucky.

After zig zagging across the U.S. (Minnesota, Oregon) enjoying sights like The Corn Palace, The North Dakota Badlands and
The Devils Tower, I gathered up 2 degrees (printmaking, surface design) and settled back home in New York.

My husband Guy Reed (poet, essayist) and I are living in upstate N.Y., raising our two girls, making art and living life.
I am also the co-director of Saugerties Art Lab, a program which provides low cost art programs for kids. Very fun and cool.

A very short list of heroes and inspirations are: Lynda Barry, Sweet Honey in the Rock, My father, Annette Messager,
Pierre Bonnard and Ira Glass.
